It has been said that the power of a message is only fully realized when it is lived. One can hear something and store it somewhere in the infinite synapses of the brain without ever acting on it. A thought is just a thought. It remains stagnant and without power as long as it remains in a state of thinking. The thoughts we have take on substance and power the moment we take it and put it to work through words and action.
A vision for life will remain ineffective as long as it is just a thought. The vision comes to fulfillment as we talk about it, and then act on that which we speak. The Manual of God puts it all in perspective, and gives name to this process – faith. In this Manual it states that faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things we hope for, being the proof of things we do not see and the conviction of their reality. It starts with a thought, and ends by that thought being brought to life. The thought must become reality in order for it to have effect, affect, significance and power. Faith perceives as real fact what is not revealed to the senses.
And this is where confession comes in. We read the Manual, which inspires new thoughts, which must be put to work through speaking and action. Confession has power.
I sit with my friend Sharon in the mornings, and we share parts of the Manual with one another. We then take these and speak these, as real, to one another… and then continue on from there making the confession a part of who we are. So, I thought to share some of these with you… you can take our confession (well, really the confessions of God), and speak them as a reality in your circumstances and situations. Why not put your thoughts… confessions… and acts to work to change your life?
The peace of God is mine. My soul is tranquil and at rest. I am saved by Christ and am content in life. I have the peace of the Lord that transcends all understanding. This peace guards my heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
