At the Letaba rest camp in the Kruger National Park there is the famous Elephant Hall, a museum housing great exhibits of elephants; this includes, among other things, a full size skeleton, various stations with elephant information, plus the tusks of famous park elephants that have died over the years. Off to the side is a ramshackle collection of bones, animals in formelahyde, and a magnificent stuffed cheetah.

Since I failed to spot a live cheetah on this trip, I had to settle for taking a photograph of a dead one. Artistic license had me photoshop out the bland and ugly wall on which this specimen was displayed, and replace it with something that hopefully highlights the dramatic leap of the animal…
