Passing the Eastern time zone we had to reset our clocks an hour ahead, and after a scenic curves drive through the Tennessee mountains we arrived at Pigeon Forge in the Great Smokey Mountains.

…the road

Setting up camp is now nearly second nature as we have learned the ins-and-outs of doing the procedures effectively and quickly, so it wasn’t long before we set off on our bicycles to explore the street of Pigeon Forge. Yes, street. The main road runs right through the valley, and there are some minor roads off to the side, but it seems most of the ‘action’ is in the main street.

Fixing the transport… somehow the wheel got on back-to-front

The first stop was supper at the Golden Coral, a buffet of magnificent proportions. We were all grateful for the cycle home to work off all those added, budget calories!
