We packed up early at Cajun Palm to leave at 7am for Shreveport, where our challenged generator was to be seen to. Genny has been acting up a little lately, displaying some serious hormonal-electronic glitches and switching off in mid-stride. Now, when she is supposed to keep the aircon in the RV up and running in hot weather, and then decides to throw a hissy-fit, we need to do something. So we attracted the 3-hour journey up to Shreveport, and typically unexpected, Genny worked all the way without a glitch! Thus when we passed Shreveport, we decided to push on for the Texas state line. At the Information Centre we took some time out to pose on a giant-sized Texas Star!

Roughly 40 miles other side the Texas state line we stopped to refuel the RVs, and at that point Genny said, “Enough!” and switched off mid-stride. Having had enough of her tantrums we forced a re-start and continued the journey to our final destination in Denton, Dallas. We arrived at around 4pm at Destiny Dallas RV, completing exactly 1484.3 miles of our journey! After a 434 mile drive, it was off to a quick grocery hunt, KFC supper (courtesy of Boss) and off to bed.
