Our amazing journey has seen us travel just over 1000 miles, and today we left New Orleans just on 8. On the way to Lafayette we stopped at the Oak Alley plantation for a quick tour. Before reaching the plantation, we crossed the Missisipee with its busy ship traffic.

At the plantation we learned all about life on a sugar plantation during the 1800’s and came away with some interesting facts. What a beautiful place!

After that we took the I-10 west, past Baton Rouge to our campsite for the night at Cajun Palms.

Now to the important stuff! Since we are in Louisiana we needed to savour the local cuisine, and so we chose the quaint Crawfish Town USA! Wow!
