Today we explored the French Quarter in New Orleans, and what a great treat that was! This historic part of town has a wealth of different architectural styles, and it all is a result of the cultural diversity that is so much part of this place. Apart from that, ‘people watching’ was most gratifying! So after spending a couple of hours walking the streets, exploring some shops and browsing the French Market, we came back and made a real South African supper!!

Later in the evening I took another walk to the French Quarter to experience this side of town at night.
